Aerodynamics

  • Tough start… The Aeros lost 5-1 in the first
game of an important three-game series with Harrisburg Friday. The Senators
scored first in the fourth inning when on a Jesus Valdez RBI-single. They added
two more runs in the fifth on first baseman Miguel Perez’s throwing error to
the plate. Akron answered when left fielder Tim Fedroff ended a potential
no-hit bid with a solo home run to center field in the fifth to make it 3-1.
The Sens added runs in the sixth and ninth for the 5-1 final. Harrisburg’s Ryan
Tatusko earned his first win of the season and Cole Kimball earned his sixth
save. Aeros’ starter Alex White took the loss.

  • Aeros
    Alumni…
    Cleveland
Indian southpaw pitcher Aaron Laffey is still scheduled to make a rehab
appearance today in the second game.  Laffey has pitched in 25 games with
the Tribe this year with a 4.62 ERA with 28 runs (26 earned) on 57 hits. The
Cumberland, Md. native has 27 strikeouts against 28 walks over 50.2 innings of
    work.

  • Ticket exchange… Because Saturday’s game was
rained out, tickets can be redeemed for future tickets to any remaining Aeros
home game this regular season or for any game in April or May of 2011. They will not be
exchangeable for the playoffs, as all tickets for the playoffs are complimentary
and are available at the Canal Park box offices.
