Recap 08/20: Aeros Fall to Harrisburg 5-1

The Aeros lost 5-1 in the first game of an important three-game series
with the Harrisburg Senators Friday in front of 5,761 fans at Canal
Park. The defeat drops Akron to 64-60 while the Sens improve to 65-59.
The two teams are in the thick of the Western Division wild card race
and were tied for third place, one game behind Bowie evening’s action.

and Jesus Valdez singled him home. The Senators added two more runs in
the fifth when first baseman Miguel Perez made a throwing error to the

Alex White (7-7, 2.44 ERA) took the loss in allowing four runs (two
earned) on eight hits with five strikeouts and three walks. The
Senators’ Ryan Tatusko earned his first win of the season, giving up
just one run on three hits with six strikeouts and three walks over six
innings. Cole Kimball came on in the ninth to earn his sixth save.
